Toddler attacked by neighbor's dog

Firefighters rushed boy to hospital

HOUSTON – A 2-year-old boy was rushed to the emergency room after he was bit by a neighbor's dog Monday night.

Firefighters received an emergency call just after 7 p.m. for reports that a toddler had gone into cardiac arrest after being mauled.

When fire crews arrived at the Piper's Crossing Condominiums, they boy had bite wounds, but was alert and breathing.

He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Animal Control is expected to determine what will happen to the animal.
