Firefighters said they have conducted their initial search and found no one inside the apartments.

But the entire building that burned is uninhabitable.

That means 16 families do not have a place to live.

The Houston fire department sent out 120 firefighters to fight the fire.

The cause is under investigation.

The Houston chapter of the American Red Cross is helping to relocate victims.
