MISSOURI CITY – Tax proposal hearings set for Missouri City residents

Missouri City will hold the first of two public hearings Thursday night to discuss a proposed tax change.

The proposal would increase tax revenues from properties on the tax roll by a little more than 7 percent.

Individual rates could increase or even decrease depending on the tax rate that is adopted.

The first hearing will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri City City Hall, located at 1522 Texas Parkway.

The second public hearing is set for 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23 also at City Hall.
