Taco stand employee robbed, shot

HOUSTON – A man robbed a north Houston taco stand and shot one of its employees.

Around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said a man walked up to the Taco Pancho stand on Memory Lane and Airline Drive. He pointed a gun at the employees and demanded money.

According to reports, one of the workers did not respond and the crook shot him once in the upper back. The victim was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

Police said the suspect fled the scene on foot with an unknown amount of money.
