HOUSTON – Police are investigating the death of a woman found lying dead in a street near a vacant lot.
Police say the 28-year-old woman, whose identity is unknown, was found around 5:30 a.m. Monday at 6300 Goforth.

According to officials, the woman had blunt force trauma to her head and evidence shows she may have been strangled.
Officials believe the woman was involved in street prostitution and that she met the suspect near the intersection of Balkin and Calhoun early Monday morning.
