Student rides dirt bike through Crosby High School for senior prank

CROSBY, Texas – An end-of-the-school-year stunt landed two Crosby ISD students in serious trouble with school district officials.

It happened during lunch hour at Crosby High School Friday.

According to Dr. Keith Moore, the superintendent of Crosby ISD, one high school senior let a second senior into the building on a dirt bike.

"The student on the dirt bike rode it through the cafeteria and hallways before he was stopped," Moore said in a statement.

Students recorded the senior prank on their cell phones and uploaded the video on Twitter, where many students defended the pranksters.

"As long as nobody got hurt, it's fine because senior pranks happen everywhere," said student Jewel Cickney.

"Pretty dangerous situation to go into a school with a dirt bike. I can see why the school district would be a little upset," said parent Joe Berezoski.

Moore told KPRC 2 that Crosby ISD contacted the Harris County District Attorney's Office to press charges against the two students involved in the prank.

"The Harris County District Attorney's Office declined to take charges, but the students will face significant school disciplinary consequences," said Moore's statement. "We are all about our seniors celebrating their upcoming graduation, but dangerous behavior cannot be excused away by calling it a prank."

Crosby ISD would not say how the students accused of pulling the prank would be punished.
