Sketch released of cell phone robbery suspect

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Sugar Land police are hoping a newly released sketch will help them identify the man wanted for robbing a woman outside of First Colony Mall.

The 21-year-old victim was leaving the mall from the Forever 21 entrance around 8:15 p.m. on March 15.

Police say she was looking down and texting on her phone when a man threw her to the ground, grabbed her phone, and then ran toward Methodist Hospital.

Officials say she tried to chase the man, and was flagged down a driver who helped with the search, but the man got away.

The woman suffered minor cuts and scratches.
