HOUSTON – A man claiming he'd been shot was recovering in a hospital Friday after waving down a police officer for help, officials said.
Houston police said an officer was heading down Holmes near Scott when the man waved him down. Officials said the officer pulled over and called for emergency personnel.

Police said a woman in the SUV the man was driving appeared to be under the influence of drugs, and told police she didn't know what happened.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
