Schlitterbahn named one of best water parks in US

The New Braunfels location was among the 10 best in the nation

Schlitterbahn, New Braunfels, Texas. One of four parks in the Schlitterbahn collection, this 70-acre favorite rises to the top because of the innovative section it unveiled in late 2011, which includes the Worlds Longest Waterpark Ride and offers 3,600 feet of waves, rapids and waterfalls for tubers.

HOUSTON – With the heat making you feel like you are melting, there is nothing like cooling down in the water.

Luckily, Texas has one of the top water parks in the nation. The 10Best Readers Choice ranked the Top 10 Best Water Parks in the US, and Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels came in at No. 2.

Schlitterbahn has three miles of tubing and the world's longest water park ride.

Splashin' safari in Indiana just edged it out for the top spot, with Noah's Park in Wisconsin coming in at No. 3.
