HOUSTON - Scattered showers with a few isolated thunderstorms will continue to impact southeast Texas through Friday.
Rain showers will taper off Saturday, but very muggy conditions will persist through early next week.
Severe weather will not be a problem for the Houston area. The greatest potential for strong thunderstorms Thursday will be from San Antonio to Dallas. By Friday the risk area shifts northeast, into Arkansas and Missouri.
Rainfall totals through Friday will not exceed 0.5 inch for most of us in Southeast Texas. Isolated 2-inch totals are possible where thunderstorms develop.
Flooding is not a significant risk around the Houston area.
