HOUSTON – About 200 boats from all over the U.S. and Canada are on display in Clear Lake this weekend. It's all part of the Texas Outlaw Challenge.
Jolata Dryden of the Texas Outlaw Challenge said, "They started the run this morning. They will come out of Clear Lake, go into Galveston Bay, go into the Galveston Basin, go to the yacht club. On the other side of Galveston and then come back. You've got today and tomorrow and even on Sunday you're going to see these big beauties out there."

The boats range in price from the tens of thousands to the millions.
Kenny Armstrong of Dickinson owns the boat named "Phantom." It's modeled after his Rolls Royce and has a Phantom of the Opera paint scene.
Armstrong said, "Just the fun, the adrenaline, the people in boating. The charity events that go along with boating."
The activities continue throughout the weekend.
And it's really, really fast. On this run in Galveston Bay, we hit 145 miles an hour!
It's on a closed course where boaters can prove their boat can top 100 miles an hour. You'll see the boats on Clear Lake and Galveston Bay this weekend. They are some of the fastest and most expensive in North America.
"You get in there, you crank it up, you hear the roar of these engines, you see the rooster tail, you see it flying through the bayous, through Galveston Bay, how can you not fall in love with that?" said Dryden.
