Officials said the girl was walking home on Derby Drive Tuesday when the would-be kidnapper pulled up next to her in an older model Suburban or Expedition.

The girl told police the suspect then rolled down his window and yelled "hey," but the girl said she continued walking.

Officials said the suspect got out of the vehicle, ran around the back and grabbed the girl by the arm.

According to police, that's when the tables began to turn on the suspect. Investigators said she began to yell for help, but the suspect wouldn't let go.

Instead, officials said, he grabbed her by the hair and tried to pull her into his vehicle, officials said.

The girl said that's when she made her move and broke free from the suspect and ran to her house.

The man was described as black with a fair to medium complexion, in his 40s, bald and clean-shaven with a tattoo on his neck. The girl also said her attacker had yellow teeth that appeared to be rotten.

So far, police said they've made no arrests in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call 281-403-8700.
