HOUSTON - A police chase in northeast Houston ended in an arrest.
Houston police said the chase started around 2 a.m. Saturday, when an officer attempted to pull over a driver on suspicion of a traffic violation on East 31st Street and Airline Road. Police said instead of cooperating with officers, the driver took off.
Police chased him onto the North Loop and he continued driving around the West Loop, all the way to the East Loop northbound. Police said the car finally ran out of gas at Wallisville Road, and the driver was taken into custody.
Officers said they have no idea why the driver fled from them. He faces felony evading charges.
