HOUSTON - Two pit bulls killed two small dogs in a northwest Harris County back yard and house.
Deputies said the pit bulls forced their way through a fence at a home on Tumbling Rapids Drive and Hickory Downs Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. The pit bulls killed one pet on a back porch. They then chased a second dog into the house using a doggie door, investigators said.
The owner came home and found his second dog in the house, and took it to a vet for treatment. It died a few hours later.
Deputies put the two pit bulls in crates and handed them off to animal control officers. Their owners are not known.
A woman who lived behind the house said she found the pit bulls running loose and put them in her yard while she called animal control. She said the dogs escaped to the neighboring house.
