Pharmacy owner returns fire at attempted armed robbers

SPRING, Texas – The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery.

Authorities say it happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Cruces Pharmacy on the 25500 block of Interstate 45 in Spring.

The owner of the store saw two men enter and he went to the back of the store. Investigators say that's when the two men began shooting their guns at him.

The pharmacy owner got his gun and returned fire at the two men, according to police. Authorities say the alleged robbers then ran from the store on foot.

Responding units were unable to find the two men.

Officials say the owner was not hurt in the firefight, but the status of the robbers is unknown.

The two men are described as Hispanic, wearing multicolored bandanas and dark-colored hoodies.
