Pasadena church fire ruled arson

PASADENA, Texas – A vacant Pasadena church which burned Friday has been ruled as arson.

The three-alarm fire broke out on Red Bluff near Jasmine about 3 p.m.

Vibrant orange flames shot out of the building and black smoke could be seen for miles.

The roof of the church collapsed.

A neighboring day care, Klazzy Kidz, was evacuated in case the fire spread.

The building also once housed a funeral home.

Officials said the building was made of wood. It was destroyed.

No injuries were reported.

The Pasadena Fire Marshal's Office arson investigators are asking anyone with the information regarding the fire to either call the Pasadena Fire Marshal's Office at 713-475-5556  or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
