CYPRESS, Texas - Students in Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District will not have to make up an inclement weather day.
According to a letter from CFISD Superintendent Dr. Mark Henry, the board of trustees has decided to revert the last day of school back to Thursday, June 5.
The district had previously changed the date to Friday, June 6 to make up for an inclement weather day in January that had closed schools.
However, CFISD was able to request an expedited waiver from the Texas Education Agency to allow the district to use June 6 as a staff training day.
