New cooler uses the earth to keep drinks cold

HOUSTON – Maybe it's time to ditch the ice and bury your love of cold beer!

A Denmark company has come up with a way to keep your cold ones cool by storing them underground. The eCool In-Ground Cooler uses the naturally chillier temperatures to keep your beer frosty.

Here's how it work: You use a garden drill to dig a hole in your yard, and then insert the cooler inside. A lever lets you feed in up to 24 cans and then crank them out when they're nice and cold.

The process eliminates ice, so you could go all summer without making an ice run.

The cooler lasts for a year and costs $349.
