Mother accused in baby's kidnapping

Miguel Morin kidnapped in 2004

HOUSTON – A woman's mother was arrested in connection with the kidnapping of an 8-month-old Houston boy 8 years ago.

Krystle Tanner's mother, Gloria Walker, will soon join her daughter in a San Augustine, Texas, jail.

Police arrested Walker at her home in Manor, Texas, on Friday. Her arrest comes two weeks after he daughter was arrested for kidnapping Miguel Morin.

The San Augustine Sheriff's Office said information provided by Tanner led to her mother's arrest and that more arrests could be coming.

Tanner was reportedly the boy's godmother. Police said she kidnapped Morin in Houston in 2004 and eventually moved to San Augustine County.

Morin was found living with Tanner earlier this month.

Auboni Champion-Morin said the boy, now 8-years-old, is her biological son.

She and her husband appeared in a family court last week to fight for custody of him.

DNA tests have proven that her husband is the biological father.

Champion-Morin also took a DNA test and is awaiting the results. Those results are expected to be released next Wednesday.

For now, Morin is in foster care.
