More potential victims come forward in child porn case

The suspect is now facing additional charges in the case

PEARLAND, Texas – Authorities say more potential victims have come forward in a child sexual assault case and now the suspect is facing new charges.

Tad J. Costin, 42, was arrested and charged after investigators say hundreds of photos of him sexually assaulting young girls were found during a search warrant at his residence in the 3900 block of Oak Dale in Pearland. All the girls are between the ages of four and seven years old.

According to the Harris County District Attorney's Office, since our story aired Monday night, five potential victims have come forward. The DA's Office says there are at least 15 unidentified victims in the pornography discovered at Costin's residence.

The Pearland Police Department says investigators discovered DVDs and other items of evidence that indicate Costin has been videotaping sex acts with children as far back as 1999.

On Wednesday, three new charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 were filed against Costin by the Harris County Sheriff's Office. He's also another aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 and he's facing one count of indecency with a child.

Costin is being held without bond in Harris County Jail. He's due in court on Friday.

Anyone with children that may have had contact with Costin since 1999 and believed their child may be a victim is urged to contact Detective Cecil Arnold with the Pearland PD at 281-997-4151.
