HOUSTON – Constables are boosting patrols in a Meyerland neighborhood after armed robbers struck two homes on the same block in a week.
Both incidents happened about a week from each other on Grape Street. Most recently robbers stole a cell phone, credit cards and keys from two people.

Before that, armed men held a family at gunpoint while they were cleaning out their car.
Police don't believe the two crimes are connected, but they are urging people to stay safe in the area.
