KATY, Texas - A pest control crew removed a massive and dangerous beehive near Katy.

The hive -- filled with about 40,000 bees -- was underneath a bridge near West Little York Road and Queenston Boulevard.

Parents were concerned because of a nearby day care.

Children also walk and bike to school close to the bridge.

Workers with Gotcha Pest Control removed the hive piece by piece.

The bees were safely transported to a beekeeper.
