Masked men steal northwest Houston ATM

Police said clerk was inside store at the time

HOUSTON - Surveillance video could help Houston police track down the men who stole an ATM in southwest Houston early Friday morning.

Police said the thieves used a Dodge pickup to ram their way into the side of the Exxon station on the Katy Freeway at T.C. Jester around 3 a.m. Friday.

Officials said six masked men jumped out of the pickup, loaded up the ATM and fled the scene.

Police said surveillance video showed the entire smash and grab incident.

There was a clerk working at the time, but he was not hurt.

It was unclear how much cash was inside the ATM.

Police are investigating.
