Friendswood police said they were asked to investigate the theft of cash deposit from Menchie's Frozen Yogurt in the 300 block of West Parkwood Avenue on Nov. 13.

When police got to the store, they said the owner of the store told them that Rios, the store's manager, had admitted to stealing cash deposits from the store's safe.

Rios was arrested at the store and questioned, investigators said. Police said he admitted to stealing from the Friendswood store and from the owner's store in Houston.

Detectives said they searched Rios' home and found more than $9,000 in cash and more than $13,000 in deposit slips.

Rios was booked into the Galveston County Jail with bond set at $2,000.
