HOUSTON – A man was shot near a crowded restaurant in south Houston after hours Sunday morning, police said.
Investigators believe a crowd that had gathered in a parking lot had left that restaurant a short time before. It happened in a lot along the South Loop feeder road near Hearth Drive.

The man who was shot was transported to the Texas Medical Center and is expected to be okay.
Police have not identified a possible shooter or a motive.
