HOUSTON - A man who stole a car with a family's dog inside the vehicle has been sentenced to more than two decades behind bars.
Police arrested Brandon Vanwicklen back in April. On Monday, he pled guilty to theft charges.
He was accused of stealing an elderly's couple vehicle at a CVS pharmacy with 'Honey' the dog still inside. Honey was missing for more than a month.
Vanwicklen was sentenced to 25 years because of an extensive criminal history.
