Man killed crossing street in southeast Houston

HOUSTON – Police are investigating a deadly car wreck in southeast Houston.

Officials say a man was killed around 7 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of West Gulf Bank.

According to Houston police, a yellow Ford was traveling westbound on West Gulf Bank when it hit the man crossing the street. 

Officials say the man was not walking in a crosswalk.

Officers questioned the driver at the scene. No charges were filed.

The victim's name was not immediately released.
