CYPRESS, Texas – A northwest Harris County man who lives in a Cypress neighborhood full of children has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Bruce Robert Estep was arrested Monday after federal agents searched his home in the Cole's Crossing neighborhood.
Investigators said Estep was involved in international child pornography.
"It's distressing because there are lots of little children around here," neighbor Jackie Gunther said.
Last April, neighbors watched as federal agents surrounded the home. Concerned mothers, like Susan Zuniga, decided to alert their children.
"I did talk to my kids. They know who he is and that he was under suspicion for participating in child pornography", said Zuniga
According to court documents, Estep has been charged with two counts each of promotion of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
Sources told Local 2 that police in London, England, captured an online record of a user calling himself "Hedoalltan," who was sharing pictures of children engaged in sexual activity. Investigators said they traced the activity back to Estep's home in Cypress.
"I'm glad he was caught," Zuniga said. "It's nerve-wracking to think about someone doing that right across the street."
