Man disappears while on way to work

KEMAH, Texas – Searchers are looking for a man who hasn't been seen since Monday.

Scott Guseman, 52, was last seen at about 8:15 a.m. at the Walmart on F.M. 518 in Kemah. He apparently stopped there while on his way to work.

About two hours later, his family said his ATM card was used inside the Walgreens across the street where someone withdrew $100.  His family does not know if Guseman was the person who withdrew the money. Detectives are reviewing surveillance video to identify that person.

Guseman's wife of nearly 25 years only knows he never made it to work. 

Since then, his family and friends have searched, put up fliers that show his picture, his W&O Supply shirt and his 2007 red, Dodge Ram, 2-door long-bed pickup truck.  It has a Texas tag number of 84B LT6.   

Volunteers with the Laura Recovery Center have looked for clues around the Walmart and have expanded the search north to Houston and south to Galveston.

"Please bring him back to me. I need him to come home," said his wife, April Guseman.  "He's the kindest, most gentle man that anyone would ever want to meet.  He's everybody's friend.  He would never leave.  He would never leave on purpose.  Something's happened.  I know something's happened."

The League City and Kemah police departments and the Laura Recovery Center are involved.  Friends of Guseman have set up a Facebook page to help find him at.
