HOUSTON - A burglary suspect is behind bars Friday morning after allegedly breaking into a northeast Houston smoke shop and stealing a bag full of merchandise.

Police said the man used a brick to break into the Puff's Boutique and Vapor Shop on East FM 1960 and Moonshine Hill.

An officer chased the suspect into a wooded area and eventually caught him.

During the search, an officer was injured. We're told a K-9 bit the officer on the elbow, mistaking him for the suspect. That officer was taken to the hospital for treatment.
