It started Friday around 11:45 p.m. on San Antonio and Lawndale Street.
According to police, they attempted to pull the driver over after he ran a stop sign, but he refused to stop.
While driving, police say the man threw about an ounce of cocaine out of the window.
The suspect then drove down a dead end street on 70th street, where he came to a stop against a barricade.
The 18-year-old driver was arrested and charged with felony evading, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.
