Man accused of entering relationships with men, then robbing them

HOUSTON – A man is accused of engaging in sexual relationships with other men who he would then rob.

On September 11, a victim told police that he gave Jatorick Jovon Lewis, a man with whom he says he had a sexual relationship a couple of times, a ride in his car to a parking lot in the 7400 block of Cook. When the two got out of the vehicle, the victim says an unidentified man wearing a red bandana approached and pointed a pistol at him.

The victim says Lewis then went through his pockets and took his cell phone, keys, wallet ID card, cash and backpack. He told police the accomplice hit him with the gun several times as Lewis yelled, 'Hit that (expletive) again."

He says Lewis and the accomplice then fled the scene.

Court documents state the victim left and returned to get his car, but it was gone because Lewis and the unidentified man had taken his keys.

According to investigators, after narrowing down a location where the suspect lived, they discovered two separate cases in which Lewis was listed as a suspect where he would engage in a relationship with a male victim, then steal property from them.

Police say the victim positively identified Lewis in a photo array.

Lewis, 18, is being held in the Harris County Jail without bond. He's charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
