Hundreds remember party shooting victim

HISD: Increased police presence at Yates, Madison high schools

HOUSTON – Hundreds gathered at Malone Park Monday night to remember a teenager killed in a shooting at a house party.

Investigators believe a fight broke out at Saturday's party in southwest Houston between students from Yates High School and Madison High School.

Officials said a gunman opened fire on party-goers, killing 17-year-old Braveon Terry and injuring three others.

It's sad," said one student. "We're supposed to be together. And we're killing each other."

According to Houston ISD, there will be an increased police presence at both campuses on Tuesday, after threats were posted on social media.

Houston police said no arrests have been made as they continue searching for those responsible for the shooting.
