HUMBLE – A Houston-area mother was found murdered inside her own home in a gated community in northeast Harris County..
The woman who was killed was a mother and businesswoman. She was found dead Monday morning at her home on Long Climb Canyon and Pennymill Drive in Humble.
County homicide detectives want to question the woman's boyfriend, but they're still trying to find him.
The victim was identified by family members as Priscilla Linsey,44. She was an insurance agent and former prison guard. Her father found her body Monday morning in the living room of her home.
Linsey's family said investigators have made progress.
"They made contact with his family," said Cedric Robbins, a longtime family friend of Linsey's. "That's pretty much all we know concerning that."
"She was happy," said Linsey's teenage daughter.
She told Local 2 she last saw her mother Sunday night before leaving to sleep over at a friend's house. She said there was no indication Linsey was in danger.
"It could have been a robbery, or anything, that's why they're here," said Linsey.
But sheriff's office homicide investigators are trying to determine whether Linsey was the victim of domestic violence. Some of her children allegedly witnessed her fighting with her boyfriend Sunday night, and during the argument, he allegedly choked her.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said Linsey was shot in the head. Investigators believe she died later Sunday night. No one else was home when she was killed.
"We don't know what the cause of death is, and we have a person of interest, we're trying to track him down," said Sgt. Felipe Rivera with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
County detectives aren't naming Linsey's boyfriend. They are referring to him as a person of interest in the case. They said they also have some leads they are checking.
