HOUSTON – A woman is in serious condition after getting into an accident on the Gulf Freeway in southeast Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the woman was speeding down the freeway early Wednesday morning and suddenly swerved across two lanes near Almeda Genoa Road. Her SUV flipped several times, throwing her out of the vehicle.

Paramedics rushed her to the hospital in serious condition. She is expected to survive.
