Police said the woman was asleep when she heard a noise coming from her bathroom. She said she walked into the bathroom and saw a man about to climb through a window. Police said the woman said "Excuse me," and the invader ran off.

Investigators said another home three doors down was also recently targeted when a burglar climbed through a window.

Some residents said they are proud of their neighbor for fighting back and plan to do the same if it happens to them.

"This is our investment, our livelihood," said Leah Comstock, who lives nearby. "We're not going to let you take over it."

The home invader is described as a white man, around 5-foot, 7-inches tall, about 120 pounds and was seen wearing a gray, hooded coat.
