Houston artist restores Obama mural in Midtown

HOUSTON – A Houston artist worked all night to restore a vandalized mural of President Barack Obama.

Reginald Adams, an artist and CEO of Houston's Museum of Cultural Arts, started working on the new mural at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the building across the street from The Breakfast Klub restaurant on Travis Street and West Alabama Street.

The original 10-foot tall mural, also created by Adams, was vandalized with red paint on Sunday night. Other Obama supporters and community volunteers joined in the restoration efforts.

They completed the new mural at around midnight.
