HOUSTON – Houston fire investigators are looking for the cause of a fire that began during a birthday party at a home in southwest Houston Saturday night.
A family was celebrating a woman's 80th birthday at a home on Brisbane and Rack.

During the party, witnesses said the lights flickered and went out. They then saw smoke coming from the attic.
Investigators said the family have several appliances plugged into the outlets and think the fire began in the attic.
