Homeowner shoots dog after it attacks contractor, then him

HOUSTON – A homeowner was forced to kill his own dog when it started attacking him.

We're told the dog first went after a contractor doing work on the owner's house. When the homeowner tried to step in and help, the dog turned on him and started attacking.

According to reports, the dog bit his owner hard on the arm so the owner grabbed his gun and shot the dog.

The homeowner was taken to the hospital with severe dog bites. Still no word on his exact condition.
