HOUSTON – Houston police have identified a suspect wanted for the deadly beating of a woman in 2001.
Joseph Edward Webster, 50, is wanted for murdering 47-year-old Josephine Herbert.
Officials said Herbert was found beaten and sexually assaulted in the 1000 block of Prairie on Sept. 18, 2001.
According to investigators, Webster was recently identified as a suspect after new evidence came to light.
