Grandmother Charged After Grandson Plays with Fire

Police say the eight year old boy set a couch and a fence on fire.

HOUSTON - Police say a grandmother has been charged with child endagerment after an eight year old boy set a couch on fire in Southeast Houston.

According to police, the little boy was playing outside, unsupervised, with matches in the 3800 block of Faulkner Thursday evening.

Police say the fire damaged the couch and a nearby fence.

Police arrested his grandmother who they say was inside the house during the incident.

She is charged with endangering a child and is being held in lieu of on a $2,000 bond.
