Fuel spill shuts down Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON - A fuel spill caused emergency crews to shut down all southbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway.

Police said just after 5 p.m. Saturday, a valve malfunctioned on a tanker truck and fuel spilled out onto the freeway.

Emergency crews shut down all southbound lanes of the freeway near West Dallas along with two northbound lanes until they could get things cleaned up.

Officials said there were no reports of injuries.
