HOUSTON – A driver totaled his car in northwest Houston but managed to escape with only minor injuries.
Around 3:15 a.m, HFD responded to a major car accident on Highway 6 near Patterson Road. When they arrived, firefighters found a man trapped inside his Nissan 300Z.

According to reports, the driver was heading north on Highway 6 when he lost control of his car, hit a curb, went into some bushes, struck several trees, and spun back onto the road.
Emergency crews said the car was completely demolished in the wreck, but the driver suffered only minor injuries. They pried him out of the car and transported him to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said speed definitely played a role in the accident, which is still under investigation.
