HOUSTON – Houston police are trying to figure out what caused a man to lose control and cause some major damage in Southwest Houston.
It happened on Monday around 10 p.m. on Chimney Rock and Fairdale Road.

According to the Houston Police Department, the man was driving a SUV southbound on Chimney, when it suddenly swerved into opposing lanes of traffic.
He then ran into and knocked down an electrical pole before hitting several parked vehicles in the Big Woodrow's Bar and Grill parking lot.
Police believe the driver may have been intoxicated.
Investigators say they believe there may have also been a passenger in the car since the passenger airbags went deployed.
There is no word on injuries or cause.
