HOUSTON – A driver is hospitalized after he collided with an 18-wheeler.
The accident happened Friday around 11 p.m. on the Katy Freeway near Fry Road.

According to deputies, a man was driving a Lexus on Fry Road when he didn't see a slower moving 18-wheeler preparing to make a turn and slammed into the back end of the truck.
The Lexus driver was flown to Hermann Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
The truck driver was not hurt.
Harris County deputies believe alcohol and possibly drugs were a factor. Â Â
