Driver arrested after police chase

HPD officers spotted suspect running into parked cars

HOUSTON – A man was arrested after a police chase across Houston early Monday, police said.

Around 4 a.m., Houston police officers spotted the man using a pickup to run into parked cars in a hotel parking lot off of Highway 290 and Antoine Drive in northwest Houston.

When police tried to arrested him, he took off and lead them on a chase, investigators said.

Officers followed the man on Highway 290, Antoine Drive, Interstate 45  and then to the East Freeway. 

Police finally stopped the driver at a dead-end on Holland Road near some railroad tracks.

The suspect tried to run, but was arrested.

He will face evading charges, deputies said.
