HOUSTON – As a Houston hand surgeon fights for his life in a Miami hospital, his Texas ranch is going up for sale as part of a bankruptcy settlement.
Doctors say Michael Brown went into cardiac arrest two weeks ago. He has been comatose and on life support ever since.

Hundreds of exotic animals live on the ranch in Normangee, including antelope, goats, horses, elk and ostriches.
The animals and property are worth about $8.5 million, which would only cover part of Brown's debt.
