Denny's is holding a benefit to honor a Katy man who was shot and killed during a robbery last month.
Nearly 60 participating Denny's restaurants throughout the Houston area are hosting a benefit in honor of Robert Greig Placette Monday evening between 4-10 p.m.
Denny's will donate 25 percent of their total checks to the Robert Greig Placette Memorial Fund.
On August 26, masked men stormed into a Denny's near Memorial Park. They demanded money from customers and shot two people inside the restaurant. Placette, 64, was killed and an employee was wounded.
