HOUSTON – Dave Wilson is now clear to take his seat on the Houston Community College Board of Trustees.
Harris County dropped a request to have Wilson barred from taking his seat while a dispute on his residency is resolved.

Wilson has been accused of tricking voters into thinking he was African American by sending out fliers linking him to prominent black community leaders in November's election.
Wilson will attend his first meeting on Thursday.
His residency case is still ongoing.
