HOUSTON – A man was arrested for felony evading and endangering a child after a high-speed police chase in southeast Houston.
Houston police were doing routine drug surveillance around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, when they decided to pull over a sport utility vehicle for a traffic violation.

The driver refused to pull over and sped off.
He eventually crashed on Mallow Street and Scott Street.
Police said his 15-year-old stepson was in the passenger seat.
Police said the driver was on parole, but it is unclear why he refused to pull over.
